I. General info

1. At Sunrise Poker players play against each other over the Internet and not against the poker-room.

2. Real money tables are raked according to the rules posted in the Real money section.

3. Players are allowed to wager only the chips they have on the table. Players, who run out of chips during a hand, are considered "all in".

4. All players are required to ante (for 7 Card Stud) and the first two players to the immediate left of the dealer button are required to post blinds (for Texas Hold'em and Omaha) once per round upon starting a hand. Upon re-entry to the game a player places the amount equal to the big blind if the big blind approaches the player or the equivalent of the small blind and the big blind if the player misses the blinds and posts after the dealer button passes him.

5. At Sunrise Poker players can play at up to 4 tables at a time. Playing at several tables at once may cause unintended actions. If you choose the option, you do it solely at your risk and you are entirely responsible for these unintended actions.

6. No player shall discuss the current hand while it is in process.

7. For the convenience of the other players at your table please be quick in considering your actions so that you can keep up with the speed of play.

II. Game rules
We offer:

There can be up to 10 players at the poker table.

There is a round button in front of a player at the poker table called the dealer button. The dealer button determines the order of betting and moves clockwise player after player after each hand. Each hand begins with posting blinds. It means that the first two players to the immediate left of the dealer button place their bets before their cards are dealt. The first player posts the small blind equal to half the minimum bet. The second one posts the big blind equal to the amount of the minimum bet.

As soon as the blinds have been posted each player is dealt two cards face down ( the pocket cards).

Then the first betting round begins. The first player to place a bet is the one to the immediate left of the big blind, then the turn moves clockwise around the table.

There are four betting rounds in each hand. Bets and raises in the first two rounds are limited to the minimum bet and in the last two rounds equal the maximum bet. The total amount of money wagered in each betting round must not exceed the initial bet in a round four times, i.e. 1 bet and 3 raises.

After the first betting round three other cards are dealt face up (the flop). The dealer places the cards in the middle of the table.

Then the turn of the second betting round comes. Betting starts with the player to the immediate left of the dealer button. This order of betting remain the same in all subsequent rounds.

After the second betting round the dealer turns over one more card (the turn) and places it beside the flop.

The third round of betting takes place.

Finally, the dealer turns over a fifth card (the river) and the final betting round takes place.

As soon as the betting is over showdown comes. At the showdown the player with the best combination of cards (two pocket cards and three community cards, one pocket card and four community cards or five community cards) wins the pot.

Omaha rules are absolutely the same except for two differences:

· each player is dealt four pocket cards

· each player must use only two pocket cards and three community cards to make the best possible poker hand

There can be up to eight players at the poker table.

All players are required to ante before the deal starts. The cards are dealt in a clockwise direction beginning with a player to the immediate left of the dealer. As soon as each player has received two cards face down (the hole cards) and one card face up (the door card) the first betting round starts. There is no dealer button in the game and the order of betting is determined by card value. The first player to place a bet that equals half the lower betting limit is the one with the lowest open card. If there is a tie suit is used to determine the first player to bet. The rank of suits is as follows: spades (the highest), hearts, diamonds and clubs (the lowest). If hands are still tied the player to the immediate left of the dealer goes first. In all subsequent betting rounds the player with the highest board cards opens betting.

There are five betting rounds in each hand. Bets and raises in the first two betting rounds are limited to the minimum bet. The only exception to the rule is when any player has an open pair on the fourth card (4th street). In this case every player has an opportunity to choose whether to bet the minimum amount or the maximum. If a player places the minimum bet all subsequent raises in the betting round may equal either the minimum bet or the maximum. Once the maximum bet has been placed all subsequent raises must be of the same amount. Bets and raises in the last three rounds equal the maximum bet.

After the first betting round each player is dealt one more card face up (4th street). If any player gets a card that makes a pair with his first open card the above-mentioned exception to the betting rules comes into force.

The player with the highest board cards opens the second betting round.

As soon as the second betting round is completed each player receives another card face up (5th street).

The player with the highest board cards initiates action in the third betting round.

After the third betting round each player is dealt one more card face up (6th street)

The fourth betting round begins in accordance with the above-mentioned rules.

Finally, each player receives a seventh card face down (the river card) and the last betting round takes place.

At the showdown each player is allowed to use 5 of his 7 cards to make the best possible combination.

Hi/Lo Games

At Sunrise Poker you can also play Omaha Hi/Lo and 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo. These games are played according to the rules of Omaha and 7 Card Stud except for one difference: the pot is split 50/50 between the best possible high hand and the best possible low hand.

At showdown one must have a combination of five cards ranging between 8 down to an ace to qualify as a low hand. For instance, 8, 5, 3, 2, A would qualify and 9, 6, 5, 3, 2 would not because of 9.

The best low hand possible is 5, 4, 3, 2, A that will also count as a straight.

A low hand is dertermined by comparing the worst cards first, going down to the next worst card. Thus, 6, 5, 3, 2, A is better than 6, 5, 4, 2, A.

Straights and flushes are not taken into consideration while determining a low hand. Aces can be high or low.

If no player qualifies as the low hand, the high hand wins the whole pot.
